5. Have you updated your mouse drivers at all?
as for the issue, as said above in first post. check to make sure your mouse is updated. i have a logitech G502 mouse for instance and had a similar issue. found out, the software was bad basically. it was supposed to auto update but it was not. others had the same issue as well. they finally said we had to re download the software, which then when launched updated the firmware and fixed the problem.
another thing to check, you may need to also calibrate the mouse with the mouse pad you are using. i use a large razer speed pad and my mouse would have issues while gaming with skipping as well. calibrated to the mouse pad and it worked as well.
my other issue that required the reinstall, was that my mouse would all of a sudden just go off in a different direction. would happen maybe every few minutes so was still playable.
