Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007)

Is there a file in c:\program files called Activision?
I'm trying to restore my profile and I need to know where everything in the game is saved to. I use a seperate disk for my games.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty 4\players

Your profiles are in there.

Does restoring a backup after deleting local content restore that profile folder and its contents?

Nope. You must backup your save manually.

If you backed your game up via Steam, then it SHOULD restore your profiles if you restore your game.

However if you installed your game via the official disk, then the game will be installed in something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision". Steam won't back it up and you have to restore it manually.

When I checked the backups folder there were folders named disks 1-11. Are these disks the times the game gets saved? Saving points?
