HOW can i play COD4 Multiplayer is punkbuster is not supported anymore ?

So 2 questions?

"How can I play Cod4 multiplayer": Buy the game, launch it from Steam, click multiplayer.

"Is Punkbuster not supported anymore": No it's not. Ignore the warnings, disable it in the multiplayer settings so it doesn't warn you the next time, and play on servers that have it disabled, which are most nowadays.

Yes you can disable it but you wont be able to play on any servers still using PB. While its no longer supported it still helps with the hacks that were released prior to support being droppped.
if you google search you can fine pb_legacy files for cod4 or find the PB folder. I still opt to use PB because I play on PB protected servers. Also if you know anyone playing they can give you the file

This is also not true. They stopped supporting yes. but players who were in there system who were banned will still be banned. PB was not all that great at detecting cheats to begin with. It was more done by admins of servers who then posted proof of player using cheats and then PB would add them to there player data base and then update and now that player was banned from all servers running PB.

Regardless many servers for whatever reason still have PB enabled. So in order to play in those servers you have to get the last working pb update for cod4. I believe on there website they also have it or at least thru there forums.

It's nice to get PB working so you can join any server and enjoy. But i suggest for a more cheat free experience then find servers with active members/admins. As well as a website for reporting.

Servers can still stream info and bans to PB, also screenshots and reports can still be saubmitted, PB bans hackers to this day in COD2. Just PB Updates, the streaming notification in game (<playername> was banned for xxxxx) wont work. There will also be no further updates, hence detection wont improve.

was so annoyed after trying to update punkbuster, change punkbuster files to add cod4 trying all sorts with nothing working.

on windows 10 do the same just go to start or press windows icon, search "control panel", go to "hardware and sound", double click "sound", go to "recording" tab, right click on "stereo mix" and click "enable" and voila cod4 mp starts up, magic.
