You can also create a dedicated internet server at home using scripts and whatever mods you wish. You may need to do some port forwarding in your router for this as well.
You can easily rent COD4 servers from various companies hosting servers across the globe. Just Google COD4 server hosting.
If you have access to a VPS, you can upload your game files to it and run a dedicated server from your VPS for nothing but the cost of your VPS.
