I keep getting this message in the intro to the death from above mission. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Disable any mods for single player or multiplayer that you have, either through the ingame options or launch command parameters, worked for me, was using pezbot for multiplayer and it crashed this mission every time.

To troubleshoot things like this that most people don't experience always think about what you're doing that deviates from the rest of the players, in my case I was using this mod, for Psychonauts I also had to turn off rivatuner in order for the game to get past the first cutscene despite not actually using that program in correlation to psychonauts.
