How to install and play without DVD

Hello. As the title suggests,i had bought the COD 4 game back at 2010,and at that time i bought it as a CD-DVD and i have it in my closet until this day. The problem is,since i got my new laptop at 2017,it doesn't have a DVD drive,like most new laptops dont have one. My question is,besides having to buy an external DVD driver,can i use my CD-Key to add it to steam or in any other way?

P.S. The last resort will be to buy an external DVD driver and just put in the CD-Key

if you brought a physical copy of cod4, u cant redeem it on steam. at least u can download an iso by torrent and use your cd key

Yeah it was my first game i bought as a physical COD 4,it has a CD-DVD. Alright i will try with a torrent ISO. Thanks for the advice.

I dont need to buy it,i have an original game of CoD 4 MW with the CD-DVD. My issue is if i could install it without resorting yo buy an external DVD player to insert my disk.
