How do I downgrade COD4 from 1.8 to 1.7

I don't know if you're still trying to find out how to do this but all you have to do is refresh your server list and join a "downgrade" server and it does it automatically.

lmao all what i did was download this file
and deleted the iw3mp and replaced it with a file that was said to downgrade my stuff and it worked

and i joined a 1.7 server and it didnt downgrade, idk why it was FF server ffa

I have unmodified Steam version, the game restarts and then crashes when joining a downgraded server.

Try reinstalling your game and join again. I don't know what could be causing the problem but this method had worked for the majority of people.

I already figured it out all i did was download a file and placed it in my cod4 folder, thanks for the help anyywayy
