Hide 'n Seek (Prop Hunt) Mod

Hi folkz,

I would like to present you one of the most fun modes in this game - Hide & Seek (hns). I'm sure we all played the fun game hide and seek when we were young with our friends or family. Basically its all about hiding or seeking the hiders.

The concept of the mod is really simple, it is the same as other props mods in other games. The hiders can disguise as objects, and hide on the map (or they can even use seeker camouflage). The first player connecting to the server will be the seeker, and at the beginning of each further round the last hider of the previous round will be.

So what does this mod offer? A funny game-play, without cheaters and crying kids, where neither your FPS or your ping matters; Here you also have the time to do anything else while hiding, if you are not in the mood for chatting or flustering.


But certainly it's not all, here is a short list of the main features:
- You can choose from many models as a hider, which are different on every map to fit the environment!
- Some object can be edited. For example you can select, what items do you want to be placed on the shelf you are hiding with, and certainly their position too.
- You can earn new ranks, items and abilities. For example, from level 40, you can knife the seekers as a hider!
- Rank based player customization, which contains death effect, player model, music, weapon, and weapon painting!
- Many exciting challenges!
- You can resupply with care package.
- And many more!

thats what i did, and trust me it doesnt work... it just displays the shipment map load screen and then crashes..

the only find i get when i either google search "cod4 hns mod" OR "cod4 hns cod4x mod" is this...

is this the same version of the hns mod on your server?

also, ive tried to delete the "cod4i" folder that was in the mods directory and try it again didnt work. it just recreated the cod4i again and crashed the game. so i tried this again after installing the HNS mod from the link above, deleted the cod4i folder but the same thing happened.... idk why the hell this is happening...

ive tried searching cod4 cod4x mod download but there seems to be no download link to it...






UPDATE: i was able to join another hns server, but im still not able to join yours... they are running cod4 x 1.7a, u r running cod4 x 1.8. until i find how to get 1.8 i wont be able to join ur server... and damn i wish i could

Have you tried to manually install it? For few it doesn't load with the hack-method used by the server. Making a copy of mss32.dll file before installation ensures you can remove it again by restoring the backup.

thats what im trying to find.... im trying to get the download manually, none of my searches come up handy... NO ONE has cod4 x 1.8 to download.

i'm not sure which file is correct, but you can try to download it from this server aswell.:
176.57.128.102:28961

Maybe even do this before you try to install it again.:
Go to your COD4 folder and click on cod4x-uninstall and just follow the instructions. You should also go to "Mods" in your COD4 folder and delete "cod4i" folder if it's still there.

Point is I understood your comment(s), but I downloaded the one from AX server and then just updated it from the game's main menu. On top of all categories you gotta have something like Update this mod or similar.

176.57.142.13:1024 - This one as far I know doesnt run any special patch, but the normal 1.6 & 1.7 one, so reinstalling it the way I told you will make it playable on all and vice versa. I got cod*x installed and can play as well on 1st as 2nd hns and any other promod/competitive game server so I'm not sure whats wrong there.

I'm trying to join the ranksr.com hns server and I keep getting an error message:

"Server uses a different protocol"

Apparently the server version is 1.2 and I have to downgrade my patch or something. Is there an easier way of getting into this server, as it's by far the most popular one right now?
