Save game location

Hey guys,

Where are the save games located for COD 4?

Google. A few places it can save at. One is to check your main location. Should be able to right click game and go to its location.


Another location I believe is appdata, local, and then cod4 folder. But again google for sure.

Just answering if someone else needs:
The save location is in the game folder in "players > profiles" there will be a folder with the player name you choose in game or the default player name, in this folder is the save.

by default, they must be located at;

Program Files (x86) / Steam / steamapps / common / Call of Duty 4 / players / profiles / *profile name

*profile name is the one you've played the campaign and multiplayer with. you need to keep the ones you wish to back up, in case you have more than one profile.

- save folder contains your campaign progress and the files for different levels of campaign.
- config.cfg is the file containing your settings for campaign, such as video & audio options, key bindings and such. config_mp.cfg does the same, but for multiplayer part of the game.
- mpdata is the file that includes your multiplayer progress (rank and challenges, earned XP, unlocked items etc.)
