Character moving left

So I have been playing this game using a Xbox controller. I'm near the end of the game so I'm not really looking or expecting a solution for my issue but I figured I would post it here. For whatever reason my character will just randomly walk left from time to time unless I stop him by moving the analog stick right. This can be frustrating at times because when engaging enemies a lot of times I would prefer to stand in a neutral position facing to the right but when I do that my character walks to the left and I end up attacking no one on the left side while being hit by enemies that are on my right. What this leads to is me having to change my gameplay style by holding the analog stick to the right while attacking quite often and I don't always want to do that. Anyway, has anyone else had this issue or is it just me?
