yes that's right i had a swat van going to him and they arrived but theyt did nothing when they were there they still managed to get stuck in the snow (it was winter in my game) even tho they were standing still
But I do feel like stalling him long enough for the police to show up and shoot him should be a valid option. Maybe that's just the American in me.
Alright, there's just SO much confusion with a simple incident. I'll clarify a few things:
The death of Michael Miller and many others in the gas explosion incident is inevitable.
Regardless of the operator's instructions, he will always rush into the building, with his phone still on, as you can hear him trying to evacuate people on his way up.As we all know,
calling someone in a gas station risks an explosion due to fuel vapors, this applies here also, which the retired fireman didn't tell him (well it's probably been ages since he last handled an explosion anyway). Had he waited until the firefighters (who are obviously on-duty and are highly vigilant against potential threats) actually arrived, they would have sorted this incident out and it'd end as a regular carbon monoxide poisoning or whatever. In that case, the firemen and the medics could save everyone.
In 911 operator, there's a call where a factory owner begs you to not send police in return for a bribe and if you accept you'll get a huge reputation penalty, essentially forcing you to restart the duty. From the summary you'll discover that all emergency calls are actually documented (at least for some time), so unless the authorities decide to wipe the records every month or so the angry fireman could have just checked with the dispatch center and learn your decision.Unfortunately since it is not possible for a decision to affect future calls the devs simply made the unavoidable explosion's cause obscure so the fireman can always get an excuse to seek revenge.
All you have to do is to calm the angry fireman down. Then offer to send an ambulance instead of the cops after the location has been specified. Dispatch some armed police units to arrest him. Under no circumstances should you agitate him since he'll just destroy the gas tank and kill everyone.
Sooo... if I end the call prematurely, will the outcome be different?
Some of the dialog choices during calls are downright dumb and could trigger just anyone.
The "campaign" story dialog in 911 was pretty bad too but this one takes the damn cake.
