I jumped from a highscore of 500 to 5000 in a single round. I then jumped from 5000 to 10000 in one round. I took me very little time to hit 10k, yet so many people find it difficult. And trust me, I'm NO PRO.
This game HAS to be extremely luck based.

I can walk into a wall of enemies on 450 score and die, then walk into a similar one on 6000 and survive. It happens ALL. THE. TIME.

XD I'm ranked 53rd over 22k points... there is a tiny amount of RNG regarding which angle things spawn in at... litrerally everything else is determined and reactive to where you position yourself. Browns and Greys try to follow you. Yellows spawn in in lines and move in one direction based on what height you're at. After your second pink to initiate a round, all yellows will spawn in at ground level until you jump more... then they start stacking into towers. I believe they alternate from in front to behind as well like a pincher. You can predict all of that when you get a feel for it and a huge part of this game is learning how those enemies respond to your movement... and in turn learning how to control their placement around you.

I know it's not actually RNG but it could as well be and it wouldn't make much of a difference. The difference in your actions between surviving something and losing to it is so tiny it might as well not exist,

Well the game doesnt even START till 10K.

1st: Im currently ranked 39th and Im STILL not sure what kills us! It feels like multiple enemies have to touch you to die. Ill be ready to die, yet live countless times. Im pretty sure I make contact with things. Then die to nonsense. I rage out "WHAT GOT ME!?!" more than a few times, each play session.

2nd: What are you playing on? 60Hz - 144Hz? I started playing on a TV (60Hz) and then got a 144Hz monitor. My eyes vaporized. After I broke top 100, I played this again on a TV (60Hz) at a friends and ITS UNPLAYABLE AT 60Hz!!! Looked like a flip book animation. I had to shut it off immediately.

its bc your fire rate increases as the game goes on so you can survive through thicker swarms. the fire rate increases every time the game goes in slo mo
