Using the default gauntlet, for example, you wait until they stand side-by-side. Step back when they start jabbing, and there's a window to biff em with a full charge. Test out the timing on skeletons.
The shield guys only synergize with each other. But they only have 2 attack patterns.
1. The shield guy in YOUR lane attacks first and then the other. There is usually 4 to 6 attacks total.
To counter this dodge to the other lane when one of them attacks you. As soon as they stop attacking punch the one directly in front of you a few times, then go back to dodging.
2. Both of the shield guys attack at the same time about 2 to 3 times. To dodge this you simply move back that amount of times and then charge forwards.
