Gauntlet Balance
Is it just me or does the vast majority of the gauntlets come with enough downsides despite some of their unique mechanics and play styles that make you want to just go back to the default armor after trying the new ones out in battle? Looking for critiques to each gauntlet to make them feel worthwhile (balance-wise), I know this will all be subjective for the most part since it's spit balling. I thought the gothic set would be the ones I'd use a lot, but the small health, most enemies interrupting the full grab, specials using half your health, and even blocking knocking you back made me not want to use them, as cool as they are.

Only gauntlets Id consider not worth using are samurai.
Tech is basically the same as default except the movement is wonky, you can attack at a range, the spec wheel is a roulette and you get 2 extra spec slots and 1 extra bar.
Punk does a ton of damage, and you can move while charging.
Gunslinger is fast, and the charge can make them the best gauntlets if you get the combo right.
Gothic lets you leech health, and you're invincible in the air. It only has 6 health less than default which doesn't mean much when you can just leech any damage taken back. Spec's costing health is the drawback to the gauntlets, they'd be the best otherwise.

I used gunslinger when i got it and then viceroy when i got it, regret using it in the final fights because I only won by cheesing, but the fact you can means they're still super strong

Samurai gloves aren't even that bad tbh

Yeah, i just really hate how slow they are.

Played more with the Viceroy gloves, I like them, but I'd still prefer it to have at least 1 special bar and or getting rid of blocking with the gloves still launching you.

I feel this. The only new gauntlet I liked were the samurai ones. Sure they're slow, but there's no penalty to HP or movement (at least any that I noticed), and the fire/ice mechanic is satisfying and fun. But everything else comes with such downsides that I only used them once. I almost liked the gothic gauntlets, but you use your HP to do specials so it was a no for me. Yeah you can leech HP, but it was such a hassle.

Gunslinger is cool but kinda boring to use, punk would be great if it had a normal uppercut, and I haven't gotten the samurai gaunts yet (I am stuck at the bug ice maze)
