Beneath the Surface

Beneath the Surface

What does this game have to do with Inscryption?
I've seen a couple of mentions of the game, in here. My guess is that this game was connected to one of the ARGs that Inscryption did pre-release? Inscryption is probably my favorite game, so I'm curious as to why I see it mentioned here.

Alright, it's kind of a long story. Another of Daniel Mullins games, The Hex, revolves around sentient and aware game characters (Sound Familiar?). Anyways, one of the ARGs in The Hex connects to Beneath the Surface.
In the Ending of The Hex, a portal opens between the world of the game and the "Real world" (Or at least, the "real world" in the world of Daniel Mullins games). There, Sado, a character in the Hex, can be seen momentarily slipping out of the portal and into the real world. For the record, THIS is Sado. https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/villains/images/c/ca/Sado_clap.webp/revision/latest?cb=20230116195610

When that lady shows up and kills Luke at the end of Inscryption?

Welp, looks like she's (Temporarily) working under Gamefuna!

Quick Edit: The Hex seems to imply Carla Dosa (who created Sado to get back at the game's creator Lionel Snill) did so with some... Satanic help.
Since Sado's creation, all of Lionel's games had "weird glitches".
Now, remember how Luke created to "Amanda" showing up. When she talked outside his house, or when she said her name was "Amanda", the camera randomly glitches.
Luke asked how she got past his locked gate, and how she even found out his address, only for her to say she got it from her "Boss".
You can find out more about Sado here.
