Item Inventory Issue

Hello -

I had been playing this Detective Di: The Silk Rose Murders game and enjoyed it! The puzzles are challenging and I wanted to give a high five for this game.

I am having issues with the item in the inventory. I am in level 2 stage where the detective meets General Zhang at the East Pier to ask questions. The key item “disappeared” from the inventory and I cannot find it after several attempts to search and swipe the inventory around. This key is for the makeup box in a room with a fan and surrounding candles.

Do you have a workaround to resolve this issue? Thanks!

how do you even open it? whatever i do it does not appear on the first screen it sometimes blink for a microsecond and closes
