How do you play this 2 players
My controller moves both of em and it doesn't let my friend have a controller

Summary of observations: (for posterity)

Neither account used steam beta at any point in time.

Mar 29 - remote play with two accounts wasn't accepting keyboard input from invitee.
Mar 30 - same behavior observed. Submitted bug report.

Mar 31:
I tried logging into both computers with the same account and using remote play. Keyboard input from both computers worked. I logged out of my account, back into the second account, and went through the exact same steps as Mar 29/30. Keyboard input from both computers now works. No idea what changed.

Hi BananaJane!
There is a button with a controller on it in the level select screen that lets you change the control scheme. Press A on it, then choose the option that has two controllers on it to play with two controllers.
Hope this helps!

If I pick that option then my controller controls both players
It's not just for this game either it seems to do this for every remote play game

I am running into this same problem with remote play. (FYI, this is a featured game below Steam's article about using Remote Play).

In my case I am using two separate computers. When I select the two keyboard option, I want <^> buttons to work on each computer. Instead, <^> and AWD buttons work on the host computer. The invitee computer can only watch. Any thoughts on how to get it working? Thanks!

Another acceptable solution for the two keyboards issue would be if we could get <^> and AWD working on both host computer and invitee computer (which should be possible since Remote Play gives you the option to allow the remote player to provide keyboard / mouse input?) I am running Windows 10 on both of my computers.

Thanks for reporting this.
In theory, both host and invitee computer should be able to provide keyboard input.

I looked into possible solutions for this, but I'm afraid it seems to be an issue with the Steam Remote Play feature itself that we can't really do much about on our end.

If this isn't the only game that doesn't work on Remote Play for you, maybe look into third party alternatives like Parsec, which reportedly works alright with our game.

Sorry about the inconvenience.

Thanks for the response Josia! I tested on a couple of other games, none of them were accepting input from the invitee computer. I'll take a look at Parsec and see if there's a place to submit a bug report to steam.

Turns out my friend was on the steam beta and now this game works but there's still a lot of games that don't
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
