Black screen on linux

None of the proton version`s works, the game starts but goes black screen, the sound and the game works but has no video
tested with fedora 37 and latest version of proton

Is this pc or steam deck?

I've had this issue as well.
On pc
Fairly certain worked for my deck as well
Been a while snice I played fallen makina
found installing proton hotfix and reinstalling the kagura patch to solve my problem

As kagura's uncensored patch gets erased each time you or I change
(I think)proton states

With the new steam refresh update.
Made it so that my deck and steam on pc and mobile app
Have the same time played instead of having 2 different times played

Steam deck vs pc,Mac, mobile app

But some of the lewd developers and publishers have been making big changes to their games for some reason
A good number of my hentai games need the patch to reinstall or different version of proton to even function.

With makina I didn't have problems with it on steam deck.
Haven't checked it yet on pc

i uninstalled, re intalled the game and the patch, and work with hotfix
i place this version ( https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases ) on the steam folder with the other versions of proton, and worked

for the steam deck I found that if you run it in compatibility mode on Proton version 7.0-6 it works

sadly doubtful. With 95% of lewd games comin out way before 2019. had been worked on for 4-5 years+
making burnout once devs cross the finish-line be done with that game for life, or at least 1o years

community that like it enough might add to it. with fan art. video essays, and even fewer with the know how to program software in addition to having a way to get to everyone else safely, takes even more years to produce their fanmade content.

i mean cmon, super niche genre of games makes newcomers unlikely(newplayers,devs,publishers, content creators).

there is/was(?) a modder working on makina. i.e makina modder.

but minimum 1 year between uploads. so there is hope for this game. just... takes a lot to finish a project for any games(like it does for this one) let's say 3 - 6 years from now. Maybe... some new content could be added.

damm bro kinda this kinda old, i dont remenber the way i did it to work, but from i can remember, i installed all versions of proton, and something bethwen version 3 or 4 worked out, try that

Hi, idunno if you got it working already, but this is how I fixed the same issue:

In the game folder "/Steam/steamapps/common/Fallen ~Makina and the City of Ruins~"

Create a new text file and add the following 3 lines:

 
dxgi.deferSurfaceCreation = True
d3d9.deferSurfaceCreation = True
d3d11.maxFeatureLevel = 9_3

Then rename the file to "dxvk.conf". Then just start the game and it should work, no launch options or compatibility options changed.

Let me know if it also helps for you, I see this as a common issue amongst players so I'll make a thread about this if this also helps for you.
