Bracket Racing and Other Suggestions

I know bracket racing isn't in this game, but as a bracket racer myself, I would love to have this added to the game at some point down the road. I understand that requires a lot of development work and there are still bugs that need to be worked out, but just a suggestion for the future.

For those who don't know, bracket racing is unlike the heads-up racing currently in EV3. EV3 uses a pro tree, where all three lights come on at the same time and both drivers leave at the same time. In bracket racing, each driver chooses a dial-in, which is a guess on what time they will run. The track puts each driver's dial into their computer and it gives the slower car a head start by the difference in times, starting off of a full tree, which is where each of the three amber bulbs come on one after the other which also yields better reaction times. In theory, both drivers should cross the finish line at the exact same time, so this type of racing depends largely on your reaction time and how close you can be to your dial-in. If you run faster than your dial, you break out and lose the race. Bracket racing is for anyone with any type of car, so with bracket racing in EV3 you could have a 15 second Carvero actually have a chance against a 9 second Stallion.

There is already a mobile game with bracket racing and I have played it and it is a very fun game to play. EV3 is a little more mechanically involved, so I feel that adding bracket racing to EV3 would be a huge step in a new direction.

Like I said before, I know they still have plenty of other stuff to work out before they even think about adding a whole new mode with new tech, but I think a bracket racing mode would be a lot of fun and maybe even attract new players to this already great game.

From what i heard, bracket racing, live racing and wagering are already on the drawing board for ev3. If we could get some more pc players involved and playing the game it would probablly help. There is a facebook page and group for the game to get more info. Despite all the negative feedback, if you put in a little time to learn how to race its a fun and challenging game.

It's funny, they shut down a very well rounded bracket racing sim style game to release this utter garbage. Sad honestly
