Is grinding and farming for exp/loot possible here?

I played through first map after entering the town and it seems like there is no grinding/replayability present?

keep playing. there are many maps. If you specifically want to grind, try saving and exiting and coming back in. I recall the maps refilling with units. I also recall leaving one building alive and doing that. I dont know if that is required or not.
