Possibly good for Steam Deck?

Since there's a massive sale for it currently, I'm thinking of picking it up now to play when I get the Steam Deck next year (lately at home I pretty much only play racing sims, other genres get neglected).

Those of you that already own it, does it play well with a controller? Any other considerations you think might harm playability/performance on the Steam Deck?

It's mainly a console game so it plays well with a controller. I guess the only uncertain part is how readable the ui is going to be on the deck, but it will probably be fine.

Thanks for answering...yea text legibility was one of my primary concerns, but I honestly didn't realise they released it on Switch (I don't follow consoles anymore), so it really shouldn't be an issue I'd imagine...I should have figured though, as every previous game in the series was on a console or portable.

You will have no problem. If VC2/3 worked well on the PSP then all of them in the series will work well on the Steam-Deck. Bearing in mind you will have to wait for a suitable emulator for 2/3

well it was literally a psp exclusive for half the series so i'm sure it'll run pretty well

it goes on sale all the time though so I wouldn't really rush to get it if you don't plan on playing in a while
