most of that is false
1) denuvo does not require an "always online connection" and never has
2) plenty of denuvo titles work on linux via proton
3) payment issues is the fault of the customer and/or steam to begin with
4) And as for steam games being bound to steam and thus an account...how is that denuvo's fault? ALL of your games will be gone if valve ever went tits up. You don't own ANY of them, "denuvo ridden" or otherwise
5) playable backups is essentially a means of passing the data on to others or torrent sites. Its a no-brainer
Thanks for the follow up.
I did try to play VC4 at offline mode, it works.
Not really, no. Piracy isn't that large an issue in the first place. If there's a game that I wish to support, I buy it, sometimes buying multiple copies as gifts. I wouldn't pirate something unless I have no other recourse. Publishers just need to do a better job of getting their products to people in an honest and fair way. It's a very small amount of the population that wants to steal everything, atempting to justify their actions no matter the amount of mental gymnastics they have to do.
There is no way you can indentify one consumer over another accurately and without potential for error. Everything can be stolen, phone numbers, email and etc. nothing is sacred.
They really messed up God Eater because both game executables are using the same Denuvo license.
You should see my God Eater Review.
They so called Europe PR Forum Manager is highly Censorship to Denuvo and Bans anyone talking about it. Hell my Thread was connected to their Customer Support and I clearly Tagged it. It was 50 Pages and guess what, he downright Deleted the Entire Thread.

It will to a point, which is when it decides you have to check back in. This can be for any number of reasons, and if for any reason that server can't be contacted (for example your interent is down, or ina few years they decide it isn't in there financial interest to let you keep playing games you have paid for) then you will be unable to play this single player game you have paid for.
Denuvo is horrible and no consumer should be in favor of it.
Iirc there were a couple full on trolls attacking everyone who said they could tolerate Denuvo before the game came out (one is the creator of that dubious github page) which caused a crazy crackdown on discussing it at all over there.
It's still awful and means they're likely never going to fix it.
GOTTA LOVE THE PIRATE TEARS!
