Cenotaph? Really? (Spoilers)

Man, I really hate this thing. All the meaning of sacrifice tossed out the window. Chapter 16 becomes a farce. I know some people lost thier waifus and want them back, but it really cheapens the whole experience. I know I don't have to use it if I want to, but a magic resurrection machine removes all the sorrow from war.

The real question is : Why you can only rez Cristel ( Minerva's girlfriend) but not the whole squad F ?

I mean how does it cheapen the whole experience when its only available in the post game? I will never use it. The character I used in chapter 16 will never come back.

Because the other F squaddies are all generic soldiers.

It doesn't cheapen anything because it's clearly non-canon, story-wise. You're not magically resurrecting anyone. They're still dead. You're just "honoring their memory" as a gameplay mechanic to let you use them in the harder post-game content. If they ever made a direct sequel to this game, those characters would still be dead.

It is meant as post game content only and allows players to pretty easily 100% the game with the proper determination.

The sacrifice was not defenestrated at all. The post game is there for you to continue playing the game and having fun with it outside of regular boundaries. Nothing in the postgame aside from the True Ending is canon.

Raz is dead, he did sacrifice himself for the team. He's not "resurrected" because of the Cenotaph. Everything after the ending is for GAME PURPOSES ONLY. You're playing with him, that doesn't mean he's alive again in the storyline...

Not to mention that without the Cenotaph, you could be locked out of content (squad missions).

The Cenotaphy isn't canon. In case someone dies and you lose you save you don't start over. Raz and the other are a bonus perk.
