2) its basically vc 1 with a new class and some other tweaks afaik
3) that depends on 1 and 2 lol
3- If you are a VC1 fan, yes. A bit disappointing if you played later games and liked their new features.
2. Similar but with some extra layers due to a few new mechanics.
3. Probably not unless you really want to play right now.
But the game is worth it. It looks good, it runs well, the characters are really cool this time, the story seems nice, the puns are great. I'd buy it again.
- In that regard, How is the 4th instalement ?
- Is the balance between Serious and "Anime fantasy" is kept ?
- Are the protagonist and crew as cool as Alicia and Welkin ( and Marina, and Rosie, etc...)?
2 Almost like the VC1 with 1 new class and 1 vehicle. SEGA also balance other classes (mostly buff others class AP and nerf scout AP).
3 If the game isn't overpriced in your country then it worth it.
Given all that, the first game was one of my favoite games from last decade and I still find myself smiling playing this. If you're anything like me I bet you'll love it to.
I find the general premise a bit more engaging to, while the militia or unit of a small nation (belgium) fighting off an empire, well... The larger contrext of the not-allies launching a non-operation barbarossa against the not-sovietgerman empire, if you know your history you might know how this could be problematic. As a history nerd I like it plays it a lot more straight with regard to real wwii than earlier games, but that just makes me like it more.
For VC4 is really good. They balanced a lot of cheesy stuff (like spawning a swarm after taking enemy base by a scout). New class add much more to the table than sword/shield class from VC2/VC3. Missions are actually fun (and more tactical/free) than especially VC1 with "you have to do this only one way" stuff).
the so called additions in VC2 and VC3 are minor stuff.
Somewhat worried and disappointed about the general direction the series have taken though. A lot of old issues appear to be in, a lot of improvements are a bit too minute to gush about.
Is it worth the price? I feel will entirely come down to how much a person enjoys / is irritated by the gameplay here. Personally, I think it is somewhat overpriced, but at least there is no blatant map reuse like in VC 3, which was more like an expansion with the new cast bolted on than a proper new game.
2) Same as VC1
3) YES!
Seriously, it's amazing how similar this is to first game. Sure, the characters, story and maps are different but as far as gameplay and presentation goes you'll be feeling right at home.
If I didn't know that this was fourth instalment and told me that it was released year or two after first game, I wouldn't doubt you at all. You can't see the ten year gap at all.
...Personally I hope they do something different with the next game. Not different like VC2, but maybe adapt some other war from history of real world. Just a change in time period and locale would be great.
Do you mean the gameplay or the story? Because the story gets so good as the game progresses I am literally biting my nails at some points. As for the gameplay, well... round bases strategy is always slow paced.
