Is it okay to play VC4 first then VC1 afterwards?

So I just got gifted both VC1 and VC4, and have downloaded/pre-loaded them. I think I want to play VC4 first just cos it's coming out really soon. There's no point playing the games chronologically since 2 and 3 is missing right?

VC 2 and 3 are both PSP excusive titles and have not been released on any other platform. as for which to play first it realy doesnt matter, VC 1, 3 and 4 both take place in the same war and have very little cross over outside of DLC.

TL;DR: Play either it doesnt matter.

It's completey ok. VC1 3 4 is the same war just different character, 2 is after the war. If possible i recommend you play VC3 on PSP emulator with English patch. You can pass VC2 because IMO the story, the characters are bad (especially the protagonist), too many classes, etc

YEah from what I read you can probably get away with it but they might make some references to the war in the north you wont quite get except via context. Also this one is gonna be quite a bit darker in tone and going back to a still serious but more lighthearted VC1 might be more jarring than the other way around.

VC1 - VC4 - VC3. Don't bother VC2. It's bad. Really bad.

You won't play chronologically either way because the franchise doesn't follow a linear timeline. 1, 3 and 4 all happen at the same time. 2 takes place two years later.

Play in Order of VC1,3,4 then VC 2. 2 is the actual sequal and then don't bother with Revolution.
