Pretty much this. Being able to actually get a ton of kills, even against bots is fun.
War Thunder on the other hand is a toxic, P2W, grindy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
i think its more people are becoming more interested in sims across all platforms and game genres
to those hating on WT for costing some to properly progress just like every war gaming title, or any free game for that matter, why? lmao
even tho wt suffers from some of the same dev issues, we can bully ours into submission when they make a bad move, and overall the games better
The fact that for many people the game crashes upon starting the battle doesn't help these numbers. Have that issue for months now.
Just uninstalled.
As for the game dying WG never really tried to properly compete with with other air combat games like War Thunder,so there has always been a smaller player base.
If your looking to actually play with other people then try reaching out in chat, pm players after battle you realize were people and not bots and last but not least this game has a discord.
Other wargaming titles don't have the problem WoWP does. It's a shame. I just started really playing over the last few weeks and have been having fun. It's just on life support. I'm sure they make enough profit on this to pay for the servers and still get some money, but as far as I know, there's no active development. The other WG games are doing fine and are actively being worked up/updated/content drops.
I don't get the hate for War Thunder and vice versa. Both cater to different crowds, and plenty play both WT and WG titles. For my own part, I generally prefer the more arcade side of things--especially in regards to planes.
That being said, I did enjoy ground vehicles. But got sick and tired of the economy screwing me out of being able to play my own vehicles. I actually tried coming back a little while back, and just quit immediately when I couldn't play anything but like my tier 1/2 tanks (or w/e the rating equivalent of those are). And I remember how brutal the currency grind was. Unless they've fixed that--no thanks, i'll stick to Blitz and wait for some of the new tank sim games to come out.
