When you got the feeling being shot every time, try to fight more near your allies, not so near to heavy aircraft or only against the bots. So essentially have a tactic (was used in real wars, too).
And learn about yourself. What style you prefer and go in the tech tree in this direction (I think UDSSR has an early widespread range to try yourself out).
Also, its ridiculous that bombers get shredded by any tier up or down from their tier and their turret gunners do next to nothing for damage to the enemy that is attacking you.
Yea, this match making system is beyond broken, but also the premium planes are twice as better than the normal aircrafts from their respective tier, just check their stats, this is pay to play and if you are playing against someone with one tier above your plane and is premium then the game is lost, and unfortunately it happens too frequent
I get tiered up to tier III. Crap. I'm in a fighter, I maneuver behind a heavy. I get my guns going. I see them hitting, I hear they're hitting. I've got him. His health bar is barely dropping. He turns, I keep my guns on him. Finally he's at 25% health and my guns overheat.
you're telling me my guns don't have the power to take down an aircraft a tier above me before OVERHEATING?
It turns into a fishbowl, another enemy, also a tier above me, dives on me. I pull up to meet him and close the gap quick so he doesn't have an eternity to fire at me. I move around and keep him from getting too many good shots at me but a couple lucky rounds and I'm toast.
He gets me a couple more times with his better guns, better diving speed, better turning, and better skin.
Cool. This game is an absolute joke. I'm not going to pay to compete. And I'm not going to play for free just so they can uptier me and hand easy wins over to their wallet warrior babies. The next guy that makes the mistake of downloading this hot trash can lose to the wallet warriors so World of Warplanes can stroke their payer base.
skill issue if you think you can upbeat a higher tier plane one on one with it being a decent player then you must be nuts. the idea is not fighting higher tiers alone. this game is not meant to be played acting like rambo.
You usually fly a plane a level below . You are not Rambo . Just statistics and points for players with a wallet . Mince chop after salvo a level higher .
Yeah it's not a skill issue when you're surrounded by enemies a level higher than you. When you see a guy showing you his tail and you have a firing solution, you move in and take it. There's zero reason my guns would overheat before I could take him out. I wasn't missing shots. The power scale and balancing is just screwy. If it's impossibe, as you're admitting when you say, "you must be nuts," even with a textbook perfect engagement scenario, then my fighter should not have been placed in the same game. That's a complete balancing fail.
I'm not playing alone by choice, I'm playing alone because the servers are empty and World of Warplanes is throwing me into uptiered matches with my untrained pilots flying my tier II craft and nothing but bots on my team.
Sure, I COULD talk my friends into devoting a few hours a week into picking up this game with me. So we could.. All be screwed together? I like my friends too much for that. Sure, we're the kind of friends to put hot sauce in each other's contraceptives, but i'm not going to ask them to suffer through Warplanes with me. Some things are too cruel to even put friends through.
And yeah, I was using F2 and F4 to try and call friendly bots to focus on specific zones, and to focus on the played enemies. Didn't help. The bots are so trash, I'd probably be able to take them down even when the horrible balancing has made it, by your words, "nuts," to attempt against a live player.
Live Service games in general rig matchmaking. That's just what they do to encourage microtransactions.

WG mission to score 1,0000 personal points = Zadem of the players did not exceed the threshold of 9,000 personal points ????
Free game, go ahead and try it. I found WoT Blitz was pay to win, and so is Warplanes. Warships I never really got into, and Tanks (original) I'm not going to try after the rest of these were so bad.
I'll probably pick up Ace and just play a game made for gamers.
There are no pay to win planes in tier 9 and 10 (if you can even make it that far). All the p2w planes you see now were given out free for grinding events (of course you have to pay for it now because you missed out). You will be missing some pilots and equipment that were given out for free that might be considered pay to win now.
P2W planes aren't really a problem outside of tier 8. If you are starting now then it's more like you are new and have no modules and equipment having to fight veteran opponents with fully equipped planes.
If you tried war thunder and sucked there then you'll suck here too
