Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does this game differ from original one?
A: No, absolutely not. All the features and content currently implemented in the game is available in the Steam version. It is the same game and the only difference is that you can launch it from your steam client.

Q: Which servers do the Steam users play on?
A: We do not have separate servers for Steam users. Steam users play on the same servers as players who do not use Steam client. When you initially login you will be asked to bind your Steam account to one of these servers.

I have chosen the wrong server, how can I undo that?
When you launch the game, at the bottom of the screen there should be the name of the server, if you click this you should be able to select an alternative server, progress on your account, you've made so far, will be reset for the account on the other server..

Q: I have already got {LINK REMOVED}Wargaming.net account. Can I use it?
A: Unfortunately, not. World of Warplanes wasn’t initially designed as a cross-platform project. If you've played the game already you would want to keep using the original client. If you log in using Steam, you automatically create a new game account, which binds to your Steam account. Important note: all updates to the game installed using Steam client will also be downloaded and installed through Steam. Same is true for the original client: you can not update a Game Center or launcher installation through Steam and vice versa.

Q: Will there be any collectibles/achievements for the game?
A: We do plan to implement achievements in the future, but not with the initial release. Collectibles are already available.

Q: Do you use any anti-cheat system?
A: The game is designed in such a way that all operations take place on our servers. The client only sends commands and gets results, so there's no possibility of cheating.

Q: Where can I find my screenshots?
A: Screenshots are saved in (Default Path):
C:/Users/Pictures/World of Warplanes
You can take a screenshot by pressing the "PRT SCR" or Print Screen button on your keyboard while in the game client.

Q: Where can I find my replays?
A: Replays are saved in (Default Path):
C:/Users/Videos/World of Warplanes Steam

Q: I cannot sell/purchase planes...
A: Most of the display errors you may experience in the Hangar does not affect gameplay or performance and are purely the issues of cached data. These problems may include the situation when you cannot buy a plane/modules (the game says it needs to be researched although it already is), do not see your equipment and so on.

There's a simple way to resolve such an issue: you need to clear the cached data. To clear the cache:

1. Press Win+R.
2. Type "%TEMP%". Press OK.
3. Open the folder {LINK REMOVED}"wargaming.net", then - "wowp".
4. Delete the folder "cache".

Q: I cannot make a purchase with my Steam wallet...

Why don't you just merge World of Warplanes, World of Warships and World of Tanks into one massive war game like War Thunder and put it on Steam so you get all content in one game? At least that will attract players to try the different titles while playing World of Tanks...

Does the shooting bullet still spread or did you make it shoot straight as it was in beta. Because i stop playing the game as soon as you made the bullet spreading. The game became instantly not fun.

I can't get into the game. I've downloaded and verified it again. I can't get in. "Worldofwarplanes" "worldofwarplanes monitor" is running in the background of the computer. How to solve it?

Go to Control Panel
Select Clock and Region
Click Region > Administrative
In Language for non-Unicode programs click on the “Change system locale”
In the popped up window “Region Settings” untick “Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8...”
Restart the system.

this will fix infinite loading if you have it when trying to sign in
