I am not sure because my god run in Endless Nightmare was before the recent shop update.
When I got it back then, I had both Portrait and Self-Portrait which allowed me to get hit a few times regardless of the monster level.
Now that I think about it, recently, Self Portrait was one of the Gift I was keeping an eye on beside healing ones.
I am not some kind of god gamer so anything that keep healing you is great in endless nightmare, otherwise you have to keep buying heals again and again.
I still had to get a few radiant medals so I went with Alter Defect. It was... um, weird?
Alter Defect is a snowball character so you want to get a bunch of full combo to power up BUUUUT
doing that actually raise your power level meaning stuff is just more expensive in the shop. XD
So you're in that weird zone where if you're not able to properly use your feathers,
you're not going to do that well in spite of having the helpers.
It took a few tries but I somehow managed to make it.
Also, I was more focused on reaching the threshold for the radiant medals recently so once I got them I stopped as I was in the process of clearing the leftover achievements.
Score : 334 539
Loves : 61
Highest Level : 48
I actually took some screen shots without posting them.
This was my build. I believe it was at the time I got all the radiant medals if I recall correctly.
Her Heart:
Lovely Hearts
Paper Cut
Bitter Fruit
Painting
Forest
Anchor
Acute Heart
Pile of Hearts
Self-Portrait
Adamant Will
Rhythm
Frustration
Apathy
Elation
My DPS was 669.9 .
Are you good at this game?
Um... It depend what you mean by "good".
I am certainly not on the level if player like say Misery and I certainly don't play normally on Heavy Rain.
But in spite of that, I managed to get radiant and sublime medals in Quickplay.
I managed to eventually get enough Radiant medals in the Towers.
I eventually managed to escalate enough in the Towers to face a level 16 monster
I can farm max level Duality for Tetrids.
Where I make up for lack of mechanical skills is figuring out way to achieve objectives.
What kind of build work for Quickplay. If raw DPS doesn't work, does something else does a difference?
Fallen Angel (or was it parasol?) does wonder for Null Blot but I didn't figure it out right away.
Sometime incorporating Panic Attacks can help you dealing for attacks that are apparently past your limits but you still need to deal with the rest of the fight.
Also the hearts fight (except maybe Dandy?) requires Panic Attacks for optimal scoring.
I did them at level 25 IIRC but it still took several try before eventually getting them right enough.
On one hand, I used (abused?) the Synapse event a lot to set up for the higher difficulty runs.
On the other hand, I managed to clear a Torrent run adding 3 days.
I do believe that you're playing this game correctly... Tools like the synapse exist to be useful... No shame in using them...
I did find a second question to ask... Do you plan on doing more in this game even after getting 100%? Or are you content with it for the time being? (Not talking about just re-obtaining 100% when more things get added...)
Maybe?
Usually I don't replay games that much because of my game backlogs.
But it does happens and this game is special
and also I "completed" this game while it was still in development being worked on.
Knowing myself, I would also totally watch other people playing it. XD
Yeah, if you do it with Twin Heart, you'll just have to not get hit at all.
You'll have more control on what you shoot with Her Heart and a charge shot type that you can hold to prevent shooting.
I don't know what you can use in your build but
Spicy Fruit + Love Note + Thorn + Double Time + Paper Cut will do the job.
You want to avoid overkill because you need to destroy 50 spawns.
If you have extra slot, equip stuff like Big Sister, Little Sister and anything that raise HPs and Toxic Defense
Also, the build I listed is probably not optimal but it'll do if you don't have anything else.
You want to have a charged shot just powerful enough to beat a small spawn.
Ideally, you want to focus only on the small spawns that release bullets when destroyed
but you'll have some margin for error if you destroy some of the other ones.
Just avoid shooting anything that chase you, those are too tanky.
Well you failed at that already given that you equipped damage gifts... The default damage is enough to break the small spawn with a charge shot... You want to only equip defensive gifts to help you survive the fight...
You also can go for the larger spawns if you want the fight to go faster but they're kinda awkward to break with the default damage... If you do go for them you should only focus on either the seekers or the shooters... Not both... In addition to the small ones...
Yeah I just did a quick test assuming the regular charged shot wasn't enough to one shot stuff. XD
But I guess that just mean you have more margin for error/destroying some of the bigger spawns.
I had what I thought was a really high dps build going in altered story yet the combination of the high fear of each object plus the fast scroll speed kicked my ass, I think I managed to destroy like 4 or 5 objects and nearly died to staying in front of them too long. I'm thinking my best bet is to load up on aura type abilities to help destroy things quicker by hovering next to them.
For what it's worth, the cannons seem a little less durable than the saws. If nothing else, focus on those.
Just in case, one thing to keep in mind is that Amber is weak to radiant and resist void and, um... Toxic IIRC.
Ideally you want to avoid ending up on the wrong side of the elemental rock/paper/scissor.
That being said, you can use a Quick Gift to fix your element if needed.
Second thing is that Amber lowest level is 5.
If nothing else, play on the lowest difficulty level and escalate the monster level to at least 5 so that Amber becomes available.
Also, consider using Quick Gifts like the photos to make Amber easier.
And of course avoid using the dices that make the monsters harder. XD
If you want to see Amber outside the Radiant Garden, consider stacking Gifts like Fear Sense and Sun Stone to help fill the requirement.
Also consider practising the challenge in Quickplay first. if the battle is too fast, you'll be able to get used to it there first.
