Any tips for Communications Relay? on Impossible?

This has be stuck. I'm stuck in a teeny tiny space without enough room to make enough puss balls to get my economy going. I can't expand because I'm immediately attacked and don't have the economy to take them on. I've tried a number of strategies, from turtling to spamming swarmers, but none have worked out for me.

There are people who have beaten it, obviously, so does anyone have any tips? I'd really rather not just spam builders at a wall until I have a copious amount of food to take on the hairy apes. That would be boring. I already tried traps, but it almost worked. I have my builders stuff maxed out.

Nevermind, when I opted into the beta, it took me straight to the DLC stuff lol!
