I cant wait to be able to plant more than wheat, rye, potaoes and hay i think the levels should be lower as it gets quite boring just planting the same things. Don't get me wrong i dont mind playing this type of game but you can make a game too slow.

do you need a saw mill to be able to use the carpentry ? i just dont want to build it if you do because i have no gold bars and am a long way off to getting enough to make the saw mill.

If you click on the Carpenter tab, it will tell you that you need planks to make furniture. And without a saw mill you won't have planks.

It's all explained in the game. All you have to do is take 5 minutes and click on the tabs to see what they do and what they need to make things.

thanks i think i shall uninstall this was enjoying it but as many have said you cant progress without purchasing gold as others have said it way too expensive for items and progress is too slow. thanks anyway

Well, you can progress without buying gold with real money. I have collected already 25 gold bars and am only on level 12. Each day you get a gold bar, and with some achievements you get gold bars. You just have to be patient. I know the prices in this game are rediculously high, but you will eventually be able to get the 40 gold bars for the saw mill - it will just take a while.
I am not going to bother with those things right now, but just concentrate on raising animals and planting veg and fruit trees.

for me to get 40 bars for that and 150 for the other thing to get dung from no i have given this a fair go but had to uninstall.

You don't have to build those expensive buildings. You can pretty much do what you want. I ignore the quests that I have no interest in. For example, I won't be building the servant's building. I did that the last time before I restarted the game, and noticed that the workers don't really give enough back to warrant the money I spent on the building and the workers. So I won't build that building again.
So, why not just do on the farm the things you want to do, and can afford to do. Earning money gets easier the higher you level up. Just enjoy the game with what's available for the thalers and gold bars you have.

I thoughtyou may like to see what I just found whist looking for tips,
https://hackaron.com/little-farmies-hack/
this purports to give unlimited gold and thalers without any chance of being banned. Has anyone tried it?

You could try it, peadeur, and let us know if and how it works. I don't download stuff from unknown sites. Goodness knows what malware or other things are inside those things.

Hi,
Story line says build barrels so I made a carpenter and planted Oak trees. On turning into oak logs I found the Sawmill (gold) needed to get them into planks... doh! Still, I made a profit on the logs... The farm was small so to free space I took Carpenter Card back into hand until I can get space for it, the Sawmill and trees. I plan on a long game! Maybe ignore some story lines for a few months as you cannot do all in limited space.
I find massed Chickens produce better chickens (breeding), eggs, and a lot of experience points (every hour or two). Eggs make quick money or go into quick pancakes in the kitchen. Optimal coup size is for 10 chickens + food + water. Later on, one coup should have a Manger (where you move the baby chicks), and one or more coups the Barn for breeding. Once breeding, if you run out of space, just sell the oldest hen (lowest level) for a profit and you'll have a space for the new super-chicken. [There is also a "resting place for small animals" but it is gold so I don't have it.]
Enjoy!

Some gold things early on may become normal thaller buys when you get to higher levels. (But not apparently the sawmill...)

You need the sawmill to use the carpentry, I made that mistake of getting the one before the other and could not use it, except when I won some planks.

My one money making tip I have is, as soon as you are able buy a stall and use it for your merchandise. Essentially they're little huts that you can add almost anything to and sell at a higher amount. The more elaborate the stall, the more you can make. For example, if you have wheat grains and sell them from your warehouse they sell for 90 Thalers, if you put them in your stall (the lowest level stall) you can sell them for 113 Thalers (123 in a pretty stall) . Multiply that by 10 (thats what a stall can hold) and that's 130 Thalers more you have. You can set your price at 3 levels, (average, expensive, very expensive) the more expensive you list them, the longer they take to sell. Often I'll fill the stall with something before I log off for the night and they're gone in the morning.

I know this thread is old, but I found it googling for information about wood industry in this game. For others who look for ways to get sawmill and carpentry running, I would like to point out that you can get the sawmill without spending the 40 gold bars when you manage to collect 15 sawmill "puzzle" pieces from neighbourly visits, booster packs, the farm obelisk and trading via the carriage station.

Something I suspect many people haven't noticed: You can buy the sawmill at two different places in the UI. One is the usual building menu, where it always costs 40 gold bars. The alternative is the card-pieces section. If you have collected some of the 15 pieces necessary to get it for free, you can choose to "complete" the building there and only pay a portion of the gold price. For example, right now I have 4 out of 15 card pieces collected and have the option to "complete" the sawmill for 30 gold bars instead of 40. So, this is nice to know.

Well you can easily use the carriage station to get saw mill for free.
