my only hint is look at ALL the places and after you interogated everyone make a save file so if you choose the wrong person you can always load and then try another one.

Issac's dialogue is what you should pay more attention to if you want to solve the case.
Also keep in mind how the Jacobs were killed and what Mercy Jacob said.
And the biggest hint so far: take notice of physical characteristics.

Despite the few typos, this game truly was a pleasant surprise and deserves a better rating.
The red herring was on point.
