If there's enough interest in these classic remakes, who knows...it's a matter of money after all. If it sells, there sure will be more ;-)
I found the original funding project yesterday after posting. Went2Play doesn't even exist on their platform anymore. I'm not sure what to make of this right now, the point and click interface is what made those old horrorsoft games fun.
I don't buy things which don't exist, and you probably wouldn't buy 15% of a vehicle to drive around, or 10% of a house to live in.
a bank won't lend you money to buy a house when you haven't finished it,
investors will do nothing for the new companies because they are not finished, no microsoft, no apple ...
it's consumerist reasoning that has no reason
the goal for us buyers is to identify games with potential.
Went 2 Play has already shown with monkey island that they go all the way
The consumerist reasoning is invalid for what reason in particular? I buy finished games and I have that hunch this one may never get finished.
But I highly doubt this won't get finished. I'd eat a broom if it gets cancelled! :-D
3 of the 4 levels have been implented, the 4th is in an advanced stage and there will be a bonus level and polishing afterwards.
Why throw away all the work that has been done, shortly before the finish line? Communication with Went2Play is great, feedback is taken serious and we get our weekly hotfixes as promised.
This is a heart project, from fans for fans and I never saw any indication that this won't get finished. But no one wants to convince you in participating, it's your free choice. There's also a refund option if you are not satisfied.
You will get a Waxworks remake in any case, so you may as well wait and buy the full version, when it's done. Cheers!
I appreciate the civility good sir.
Thanks! Just here to help :-)
And if somebody prefers stay away from EA versions, there is even less chance the project will be successful or finished.
So, if you trust teams that are spending bunch of money and time on development, you better support them. Then you can expect more projects in future.
