Respectfully I must disagree with this statement.

I can verify first hand that duck tape can indeed be used to fix ducts........ because of a house I helped a family member at, with their Plumbing/HVAC Business, the former owner used sooooooo much it held a duct in place within/below the floorboards for the first floor.... in the basement.

tl/dr:

if duck tape isnt working, you aren't using enough
