do i need to restart?
but with the rush job at this level of low pay is a dam pain to restart
It still makes you wanna kill yourself even in a pimped out super trader with all the trimmings making you just shy of 200 top speed even before hitting the afterburners.
It is, in fact, paying me LESS than last "fix" in spite new "Express bonus" mechanic for reaching your destination in half the time limit which is just a scam to penalize you for not already being rich and pretend they are doing you a favor for it.
"We fixed/buffed trade! Honest! (What, it still sucks? It's even WORSE? uh.... silver platter silver platter silver platter)"
Is it still happening? Afaik we've fixed 2 script errors a few hours ago! One was connected to a loading error...
This is now displayed right at the delivery... We could also add it to the character stats screen to make the info accessible anytime. The reward should be scaled with the amount of finished missions now!
Edit: I saw your comment under the update - so with 50+ missions you get 900 credits although it gave you 2000 before? If so, that's not supposed to happen. The intention was to really increase rewards (instead of scamming ;)) and yes, we're actually trying to make them better, not worse. :D
Oh no. This isn't solved with a drive by "But we fixed that! It's good now! HONEST"
It gave under 900 for a short distance run, and LESS than $2000 for the longest possible distance run, with time limit bonus. After the change you are passing off as "And therefore, it is good now!"
"At least 2,000 for longest possible run after 50 jobs" was the previous "fix trade to death" patch. Already a joke.
LESS than $2,000 for longest possible under the new time limit penalty, was AFTER your patch for "Now it scales with how many jobs you do!" patch.
"But it scales with your reward!" is a scam when you keep making any and all rewards not only horrible, but even worse at every turn while claiming you are """improving""" them. While slipping in new penalty mechanics to trade overall.
While every other legitimate actual problem under the sun for trade remains. You're busy claiming "Oh, we want to make sure players don't have it too easy!" even as people still get aggro'd by kamikaze NPCs for having the nerve to hit autopilot within ten seconds of launching from a base. Nah, better add a brand new mechanic that makes people paid even less unless they are already flying an expensive upgraded trader ship... and then paid even less if they DO fly their pimped out luxury yacht under the limit.
Because like so many devs before you. you SAY you are trying to make it a better time for the player, not worse... But you are too focused on bad faith "We need to make sure this game isn't too easy, for REAL GAMERS!" that you are sabotaging yourselves.
Because if you cared that much about player time to effort well spent? Well, then you wouldn't have things like a $12,000 mining laser being only barely better than the starting rusty tutorial mining laser. (let alone far worse than a half the cost mk2 variant, on the altar of "But SHABBY weapons add VARIETY!" ). Where the only defense you get is 'but mining is FREE MONEY!' regardless of how worthless it is to bother.
Instead, you are inventing brand new ways to penalize players, when it wasn't even worth their time with the best possible gear, and it's only not worth their time because you """fixed""" it to be so.
Trade used to be better than this.
You made it worse, claiming you were fixing it.
Then you made it even worse than that, claiming you were fixing it.
Then you made it even worse than THAT, while patting yourself on the back for a brand new penalty mechanic to anyone not already a rich well equipped super trader (who gets paid worse than ever before anyways). Claiming you were fixing it.
The only possible """positive""" end result of your changes is if you were trying for "Now people won't be able to prove trade is ♥♥♥♥ until past the 2 hour mark because we can just say 'you just didn't do enough jobs to get paid well, it gets better, honest! Good job team."
Why are you crying "But we're NOT Trying to make it worse, we're IMPROVING trade!" except faith people always buy that even when evidence is waved in their face otherwise?
Because with that kind of mindset, it doesn't matter if trade pays 5 credits or 5,000,000 credits a run. That kind of mindset of "Oh, but we can't let players have it too good!" is toxic to have in a game rife with detrimental problems already even for the most well equipped and skilled players, let alone people trying out the game fresh.
We do understand your point about the FTA mission reward balancing and want this to be fair and rewarding. We don't claim it to be final at all and the latest change was one step (which alone doesn't fix it, that's right) out of many, bringing us closer to a mission design that is going to be satisfying - but needs a lot more than we can quickly fix with a weekly update. Trust us, it's going to be fine - not tomorrow, not next week, but it's going to be fine. :D
