Town Hall Quests and Gossip

Alright, so I am trying to finish a town hall quest "Tome of the Eldritch War" for Lannegar Town Hall. I got lucky on the first two I did but this one has been in my journal for a few days and someone at the inn finally told me "The tome can be found in West Varsilia."
I am in West Varsilia searching (to no avail) and the creatures are slightly above my level but I am a cleric with a merc so I am surviving (my merc keeps dying lol).
Is there any way to get more specific info on quest locations? Do I need higher gossip skills or will it always just be a vague guessing game?
I am getting nervous that I will run out of time on this one.

West Varsilia is still too vague, I recommend getting more gossip for clues on specific dungeons and even the room. However, if you miss an "item" quest, there will be no lasting consequences and eventually you'll get it again.

Thank you for your help, I will try the closest inn for rumors (Kingsbridge); I have a quest to turn in there anyways. I will try not to worry about running out of time as I have several other Lannegar quests to do in it's place!

You're welcome. Town Hall quest are a nice way to earn side XP and gold, but I recommend focusing on the handcrafted content, otherwise the game may end up being repetitive.
