Where is the dialogue options to tell the Varannari hunters that you refuse to get involved? The only dialogue options involve...getting...involved...this is the one quest that deserves an option to just walk away

I think you have that option by just not accepting the quest at the beginning, when it was offered to you. Now, that you accepted quest, you need to side with one side. You choose which.

You can clear the quest without any fight by selecting dialog options well.
