Error: Can't read profile path

Went to launch the game today and keep getting this error a few seconds after pressing the play button. I have gotten this error a few times over the past week when exiting the game but have had no issues while starting up the game or playing till today.

I tried to verify the integrity of the game a few times and came back good. I searched the forums here and at giants and saw a few comments of others with same error code but no fixes finally I deleted the game and all files and redownloaded. I have updated drivers but still get this error code preventing me from launching the game.

Any help would be appreciated I am out of ideas

I found this was due to a windows 10 update. Spent 3 hours yesterday trying to solve this. I finally solved it by turning off Ransonware Protection whilst playing. Hopefully, this helps you.

you are correct it was ransomware protection preventing it from working now to figure out why. Thanks for the help man

If you don't want to turn off the ransomware, click on "Allow an App through control access folder" you can then click on "Add an Allowed App" and click "Recently Blocked" you then should see Farming Sim at the top if you had just recently tried to launch the game. Add it and save the changes and then it will allow you to launch the game.

This just happened to me and thank you for figuring it out 2 years ago! TURNED OFF Ransomware in Windows 10 and Farmsim2019 started right up... unbelievable

My Ransomware was already off. So it wasn't effecting the game. :(
