Constant disconnects in multiplayer
Greetings,

I've been playing FS19 for a good while now (never played any FS before).
Unfortunately, my enjoyment of the game is seriously hindered by the fact that I get disconnected from the server very very frequently. Sometimes after a minute or two, but it could also last well over an hour.
My local network is absolutely fine (my day job is network engineer); other games have no issue. My ping to the server is also stable and around 25-30ms. We have a dedicated server ( at gamed.de) setup. But it is worth noting that I also have this problem when connecting to a player-hosted server.
I have looked through our server log, of interest could be this log line:
WARNING: COLLISION MESH FOR 'kinematicHelper' IS BEING COOKED AT RUNTIME - THIS WILL NOT WORK ON CONSOLES

Which appears every time when I disconnect.

I have also tried the validation of files through steam (it restored game.xml where I increased the view distance, since it is definitely not enough for me by default, even at max)

Anyway, hopefully that gives you something to work with!

I sent a mail to the devs but 8 days later I still don't have a reply.

Thanks in advance,

Jeno

Me and the wife are getting the same constant disconnects, We're on a LAN network and whoever is'nt hosting keeps getting disconnected every minute or so...
Anyone have any solutions to this?

Wow that's even weirder. Though I don't think the game supports LAN networking. So probably, it still goes over the network to the FS19 central server.

So far, still same issue. I got a reply finally from the devs but it was a general reply sent to everyone saying "we were overwhelmed by the amount of feedback" and "we hope your problem has solved itself" yeaaah well it hasn't guys :P
I am getting a new pc soon though so I'll see if that perhaps resolves it.

Most likely since we still have to pick "european continent" or w/e when setting it up,
and client needs to connect via the online browser...

"I have also tried the validation of files through steam (it restored game.xml where I increased the view distance, since it is definitely not enough for me by default, even at max)"

Steam should not be touching your game files where you would be editing the game.xml file. It sounds to me like you are editing the game.xml found in your steam installation files.. (.....steam/steamapps/common/FarmingSimulator2019......)

The game.xml that you want to edit is in MyDocuments/MyGames/FarmingSimulator2019

by messing with the game files, you get the warning it can cause MP to not work. (Rarely have I found this to be true.. but depends on what you are messing with)

You're entirely right, Sim-Farmer. That was indeed a mistake by me.
Nevertheless, I since also reinstalled the game entirely but the problem persists...

And I never touched any files...
Still keeps disconnecting.
I have noted that the disconnects are more frequent in the evenings.
My guess is that is when the central server are most busy :/

Can't say I've noticed the same thing, it's really random for me.

Still waiting for an update on this...

Yeah, support for this game is really bad :(

I was going to show my friends the lovely relaxations and "let's talk and shoot ♥♥♥♥ while having a game in the background" of Farm Sim... so I bought two copies, full price.
We tried every matchmaking server in both direction (me hosting & her hosting), yet EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. before we can even set up a farm and both join it, the non-host gets disconnected.

Disgusting.

That sounds like a far bigger problem than I have though. I have like 35 hrs on the game already. Frequent disconnects but I've still been able to play :/

Hello General_Jeno,

Could you please help us identify the issue?

First run Farming Simulator 19 and reproduce the problem or the bug.
Please send the DxDiag.text and the log.txt files in attachment with a description of the problem to: support@focus-home.com

Please put the link of this conversation in the email.

Provide a DirectX Diagnostic Report (DxDiag.txt file):

1. Press the Windows and R keys from the keyboard to open the Run dialog box and type: DXDIAG
2. Click OK.
3. Click on the Save All Information... button.
4. Save the DxDiag.txt file and close the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.

Provide the game log (log.txt file):

1. Open Windows Explorer or File Explorer from the taskbar.
2. Navigate to Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2019.

Thank you for the (albeit generic) help Camille! I will do so in a few days when I am on my new computer so I can rule out some other issues :)

Maybe it would be helpful if you could try Camille's steps, too?
