Unable to locate mod folder on MacOS

This is a steam install. Cannot locate the mods folder under any of the file paths listed from every site I've looked at.
~/Library/Containers/com.focus-home.farmingsim19 does not exist

From my Linux background, and I haven't used a Mac in a long time but I assume there is still a *nix like OS underneath probably based on BSD or something similar?

I'd install a mod from within the game, then I'd open a terminal and use a find command to search for the file.

I'd have to know the filename of the mod which means also downloading the same mod via a web browser. If you would like a suggestion for a mod to install and search for then this one seem as good as any other

I looked at the modhoster site and I think this folder has been posted by someone else on Steam (but not necessarily by a MacOS user) gives the following mods folder for MacOS.

/Library/Application Support/FarmingSimulator19/mods

Note it doesn't seem to have the ~ at the start, and I guess that means a non-user directory unless the MacOS does something sneaky?
