Courseplay not loading
So I was having some issues with the game yesterday and decided to completely delete and reinstall the game. When I added courseplay to the mods folder it does not recognise it at all. I've even removed every mod and still nothing. I'm not sure what else to do and if I may be missing a patch or fix with the new install? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had similar problem, it turn out that I haven't installed courseplay correctly. Check if mod.desc file is in first level of courseplay.zip. In my case courseplay.zip had another folder courseplay and in that folder was mod.desc. If mod.desc file is not at first level, the game won't see the mod, this is true for all mods.

I checked and this file is on first level but still nothing. I had no issues with course-play before the complete reinstall. Also I'm not sure if this is relevant but when I click on Mods to check to see if anything is there the game freezes.

Check your log for errors and warnings.

Sorry forgive me for being less than technical. But which log? I found a log file but there are tons of files in there and I'm not sure which one I should be looking for.

In my PC log is here C:\Users\boris\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2019\log.txt. Check lines that begin with error or warning.

Here are the errors:

Load mod: FS19_holmerPack (Version: 1.0.2.0) (Hash: 3266b9e838b49100e8b3610fb07ea808)
Error: Unsupported mod description version in mod FS19_holmerPack
Load mod: FS19_Courseplay (Version: 6.03.00052) (Hash: 03b40ded664b4bff40fb727782d4ec90)

Now how do I fix this haha

You can read something about that here https://forum.giants-software.com/viewtopic.php?t=145127
Where did you get the mod? Original link for courseplay is https://github.com/Courseplay/courseplay/releases/download/6.03.00053/FS19_Courseplay.zip

I got it directly from Github. I'll do some more research and see if I can get this resolved. Thank you for your help I really appreciate it.

I've read over all I can find about this issue and still have not found a solution. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I have deleted the game again along with the folders.

"Error: Unsupported mod description version"

The mod was made for another FS. For example: just renaming FS17_courseplay.zip into FS19_courseplay.zip won't work. You need to download the correct mod version for your FS.

Where did you download it? There are too many bad mod download sites out there, where you can get crap very easy. Use official sites only... in this case it's github for example. And always read and follow installation instructions.

Side note: A standard uninstall does not remove all instances of the game from you computer & can leave traces that can linger, & cause problems that carry over to the new installation.

I created a guide a while ago for Lumberjack's Dynasty that explains how to do a complete fresh start. This guide was based off information that I received from a game tester who uses it every new update, so as to remove any chance of carrying over any issues from the previous version of the game.

Note: this works with most all Steam games - you will just have to change the paths for the various games. Also, you can backup your saves, & re-install them to the new installations.

I will have to check once I get home for the version. But, I always download my course play directly from GitHub. This is the first time I’ve had an issue and it only started when I deleted and reinstalled the game.
