xml file will not edit

I'm trying to edit an xml file in fs19. I open the mod xml with notepad++, find "price" for example, but can't change the amount.

Ask in the farm sim forums. You will get a better answer, much faster there. You can also search on YouTube. There are quite a few videos showing how to edit your save files.

make a copy and put the copy on your desktop, edit the xml the you copied once saved after you edit the desktop copy, do a copy and paste into the original file.

You have to edit 2 files. careerSavegame.xml and farms.xml
Both have the "money" line.

Also in the farms' edit leave the .000000.

From 100000.000000 to 500000.000000
or
From 100000.000000 to 5100000.000000

Sorry for being late to the party.
When doing anything money related, ive found it much easier just to use the Easy Dev Control mod[www.farming-simulator.com].
It also has a lot of other amazing and helpful features, a really great mod to have imo.

you can drag the folder onto your desktop and right click and press open with and select notepad. Then you can edit it and drag it back into your folder.
