Change the 'usage'. The higher the number the more fuel will be consumed.
As an example this entry is from the cotton harvester. I changed the usage to 16600 and driving from the shop to the farm used about a quarter of a tank of fuel.
Find this entry:
<wearable wearDuration="480" workMultiplier="5" fieldMultiplier="2"/>
Change the 'wearDuration' A higher number will make it wear slower.
seasons had it quite good where it was a once a year service, but having to service after a large field because you lost 25% on your subsoiler is a bit much.
Fuel use for me isn't too far off, some things probably should use a little more but not like I'm putting huge hours on a machine before filling. Most fairly new pieces of equipment are designed to run 10+ hrs. on a full tank, even up to 24 hrs. before needing to be refilled.
The wear though... Insanely high on some items, thought it was tied to the speed something got dirty but almost seems like dirt - off makes it wear even faster. Some pieces barely make it over a large field before being totally worn out, and because cost is related to new value some things can be over $2K to fix with 50% left.
I do start from scratch mode most of the time, probably why repairs for me are so often. Easy to run a machine to 50% repair and have 7/8 to 3/4 of a fuel tank left, usually end up repairing 2-3 times before even considering topping off the tank.
