Thanks, that worked good and the cotton harvester is back to full speed. Now to figure out the grain harvest and unload combination. I think I need to go watch the video again, my first attempt ended in a mid field collision. There may have been casualties.
It took me a few tries before I got combi mode worked out, but i am glad I did. Watching Courseplay harvest my fields and take the crops to the silo is my favorite part of the game.
Another issue I see is that the tractor is trying to turn so sharp it is basically jackknifing itself with the tipper. Will try another tractor tipper combination next time, maybe the hooklift truck mod.
Also, the field I was working has a small obstruction in the middle of it. When I setup the harvest course I selected the "bypass islands" option which I assumed that is what it is for. But that option is red now so it may not be enabled yet in this version of Courseplay. They are still very early in beta so there are still bugs to work out. Overall though I think this could make the game a lot more fun while playing the large fields on the 4x map Clover Creek.
Yesterday I recorded a simple transport route from the farm to shop and back with a pause at the shop. I recorded it using a semi truck and trailer thinking that would make sure the route had room for anything I sent. The test run with the truck/trailer and a tractor alone worked good but I just sent my pickup on that route to pickup a skidsteer and trailer and it ran off the road and into a telephone pole twice. Do recorded routes like this only work with the vehicle you record it with?
Thanks
Try setting the max speed to like 20 mph or so, so the AI isn't driving Tokyo Drift style.
Thanks, I'll give that a try.
BigX1180 with corn chaff header + trailer hitch + tipper
Can I make it so once full it drives to the bunker and unloads?
Ravenport field 8 and BGA bunkers in use
I'm certainly not the right person to answer you but I don't think this is possible. The silage bunker is not a standard unloading point, have to hit Ctrl-I. Even if it was possible to have it unload it would dump it all at one spot not spreading it out and the harvester would probably get stuck. I think it would be better to dump it at a slio and transport the chaff to the silage bunker later.
yea I ended up doing that, but in this process
forage harvester is full, I stop driver, and move into bunker. Unload. After unloading, I move harvester back t5o where it left off and resume.
Then I switch to a big tractor with a leveler in the front and a compactor on back, compact to max, asnd wait the two ish minutes for harvester to be filled agtain, rince/repeat. Ended up with almost 1.4m chaff out of field 8 on Ravenport.Field was freshly baught and had corn on it already, but no fert and needed lime/plowing so yield was pretty bad, but still not overly complaining.
A better (and more realistic) way of doing this is to have tractors and trailers running with the forage harvester that take the chaff to the BGA bunkers.
It is only a matter of setting up a course the same as you use to empty a combine, but instead of driving to a silo for it to empty at, drive to the BGA bunker and use the unload here option before continuing the course back to the field you want to harvest.
I usually do that, and have 2-3 tractors and tippers running while I level and roll the chaff in the bunker to make sure the tractors won't get stuck.
Well, my new problem is that the bunker is refusing to reopen after it was covered and fermenting allowed to happen
