Starting with absolute nothing?

As the title says, are you able to start with absolutely no money, loans nor land and equipment and really go with the "start with scratch" style?

the only way I know of would require you to remove the money in the farms xml file in your savegame

Start from scratch, you start with $500,000. You save a game then edit the the .xml files so you have $0 money.

This is the way I always start a new game but as others have said you have to edit your money.

Allright, will it work on multiplayer tho? I've heard about editing the files to achieve what i am looking for but would like it on multiplayer.

Yes, you can edit each farm in multiplayer. just create all 8 (or how ever many MP farms you want). save the game stop the game. edit the files for each farm. then restart the server.

I like to start from zero too, but sometimes it can be very tempting to just take a loan.
Is there a way to disable the loan feature ?
Why can't I find a way to be blacklisted from the bank ?

Start with a max loan and you won’t be able to borrow. Not until you pay it back anyway. If you do that though I wouldn’t start with 0 or their won’t be any way to get started.

Start with a max loan and you won’t be able to borrow. Not until you pay it back anyway. If you do that though I wouldn’t start with 0 or their won’t be any way to get started.

Sure there is. If you start with $0 you do contracts for AI farmers to make money to start your own farm.

Atleast for the multiplayer when you create the farms you want for your game and save and exit, head to the documents and to your savegame (number of savegame) and find the farms.xml, edit it with notepad and there you can find "loan" on the list change the value to 500000 and your "money" value to 0 and that should do the trick.

Yeah that's what im looking for too! A whole new way of playing the game, like building your very own empire from absolute nothing.
