Cannot Modify Terrain
I can't seem to edit large portions of the terrain on the northern end of field 20 in Felsbrunn.
I've had the trees cleared up past the tree stand for a while and my fields extended a bit, but I wanted to go in with the new terrain tool and flatten it out because that hill is a bumpy mess, but there seem to be big chunks of that area it doesn't let you edit at all. Is there some way around that?

"Place Anywhere mod"

If you are not scared of mods,, that is the solution.

I will argue the most important and useful mod available for FS19 at this very moment, is that mod.

as usual. Use at your own risk, know how to backup your files and your saves, don't blame the messenger if/when you try out suggestions like this and things go wrong.

Make sure you've removed all the stumps, sometimes there's little bits left over under the terrain that cause issues with the terrain modification brush.

There are reports that users are still having issues with editing the terrain where tree's once stood, even after removing the stumps.

Again, this is why the place anywhere mod comes to the rescue and solves this /these issues.

Thanks, I was thinking it might be an issue with trees but there's nothing it will let me remove now. Place anywhere works for the landscaping tool as well? This is my first FS and I've only messed with the built in mods, but I might have to give that a look then.

Lot 20 has road on 2 sides which has wider collision borders then you would exspect
A lake below it also with a broad collision border.
You can probably expand into feild next to it (.feild 21) if you own it.
Just pointing out that collision borders are way bigger the objects appear to be.
Everythin on this game has collision issue right now.
hope this get fixed in next patch.

sometimes i find invisible branches hidden partially under the ground that ruin everything, i've only ever figured out this was the cause of one of my issues because one time the invisible branch got stuck to a tractor and managed to pull it out before the branch sucked the tractor into the earth for an inifinity fall unitl i reset it

This is specifically an issue with tree locations, its described in the giants forum post Sim-Farmer linked.

I have the problem that says "Terrain cannot be modify here" in the middle of the flat terrain by the field number 19 on the map Ravenport. It´s on the point; 1636,1672.
There is nothing there and you cant lower...you cant raise the ground....nothing...

Ok, I’ve managed to solve this problem in my case - I also found an unmodifiable place when tried to flatten the northern part of field #20. So I scanned that small unmodifiable hump with FSI ST 65T and it actually found something hidden in it and successfully cut it out. Afterwards I could flatten that hump.

Had the same issue clearing trees on Estancia Lapacho. There were a few trees placed underground by Giants. Couldn't edit the "map square" that the tree was in. Of the 4 trees 3 were able to be removed. You could edit the surrounding map squares down until the stump was exposed, as long as the stump was near the edge of the square. Then level terrain & plow it back into field area. It cost about $10k/tree in terrain editing. If the stump is dead center of the square it doesn't seem there is a solution without using a 3rd party mod.
