When a new version is released there were no further updates to the previous version. My first experience with the Farming Simulator series began with FS11. When FS19 was released any further work on FS17 came to an end.
The only link I can find is to one under support which shows you a list of FS19 DLC to buy, and of course the mods, which you then need to filter.
Absolutely they need to move on, and the new product is placed to sell and support, but it's just funny that on the official site they seem to have ditched earlier customers who aren't up with the latest hot thing. Even a 'Legacy' button or a filter in the Games section (one game listed...) would be nice.
I work in GIS and database management - you better believe those vendors have every single download, white paper and support article ever written, for every version and platform. Giants could learn from that.
If you click on the MODS tab you will be taken to Giants on-line modhub for FS22 mods.
Looking below the featured mod image you will find a line of tabs you can choose from, one of those tabs is for FS19 mods.
The difference between the in-game modhub and the on-line modhub is the search function the on-line modhub has.
I think you'll find that the web presence for FS19 lines up with the web presence of older version of other titles in the video game industry.
Here are the two sites I trust and use. The first is the Giants on-line modhub.

I think we might be talking about two different things here, sorry.
Yes, I saw that, however it only offers games updates and DLC links, not any of the other information I'm looking for to learn about earlier FS games and support. And it is completely redundant as it has disclaimers everywhere saying
So, useless for all those customers.
Yes, those are the only two I use also. I mean you can use others but treat with suspicion. I always cast an eye over the scripts but tbh the hosting portal is where the risk lies. You can always use a sandbox browser like Pale Moon or something if you want to be more secure.
Haha, okay maybe I am being critical and demanding. I just feel a bit left out and unloved here by Giants, when they don't seem to even acknowledge their older games on their official portal. To use your comparison I can go to https://bethesda.net/en/games/catalog and look at franchises going back 30 years, for $10 games. That's an apples to apples comparison, although I concede Giants isn't in quite the same league as Bethesda.
I guess the only reason I replied is that I do feel a bit miffed (like OP perhaps) as a FS19 and FS17 owner. I'm not planning on FS22 anytime soon as I don't feel it's a compelling buy for me. I am thinking about picking up FS15 Gold soon as I hear it was well loved by the community, a bit more laid-back simplified farming experience. Mods also sound pretty cool and matured, although of course I doubt any new ones will be released.
There's SO much wrong there, but from what I read about 19 and past games, they *never* really cared to deliver (or, over time, produce) an actually really polished game. They care a *lot* more (and they means management) for the profits than for customer satisfaction than the best devs (*cough*Wube*cough*)
The updates are for those people that bought the game using a disc (Like I did with 15, before buying a steam copy) to be able to update the game.
It's also rather easy to update, as far as I remember it's literally two clicks
