Midwest Horizon map yields
Does anyone have experience in yields in that map? I just harvesting my first field of wheat, and the yield is terrible. Like half of what it is compared to maps included the game.
Is it supposed to be like this in this map or is something wrong. I don't use seasons, but have maize plus and forage expasion.

To my knowledge, the main game controls crop yields, not any particular map. A field is a field.

There are many factors for crop yields. Field sizes. Different crops yield differently. Amount of fertilizing done. Lime when needed. Plowing when needed. Weeding when needed.

How are you determining that "the yield is terrible"? Have you done an actual calculation of a particular crop yield on a particular size field, to see what the yield is per hectare? If so, then you need to do the same calculation on the new field you are working. In my experience, that is the only reliable way to compare yields, assuming all other factors mentioned above are the same.

Plowed, lime spreaded, fertilized twice, weeded. I don't have field sizes so I can't calculate, but the field in MIdwest is at least 4 times bigger than in I have in Felsbrunn, and still it gives same amount of harvest. How the crop looks like is also different. In Midwest 1st stage looks like sugarbeert. All lined perfectly and space bethween rows. Also in Midwest, there is no continous line of straw after combine harvester, it comes in bursts, just like harvesting only half withd of the harvester.

Well, this is a puzzle. So you have actually walked out to the edge of the Midwest field and it told you that wheat was growing? Only it didn't look like wheat?

If that is the case, then I don't have a clue what is going on with your new map. Maybe some map modders actually do mess with the functions and growths of crops. I have played several maps, and in my experience crops were always the same between maps. Sorry, can't help any further.

Actually, there is another thought. I use a lot of mods in my game. And I would say 1 out of every 10 or 11 mods I have tried over the years have turned out to be lemons. They function either poorly, or not at all. I actually tried a new mod today: a factory to create your own bio-diesel. Only there were no input markers/areas for loading the ingredients. I suspect the author just rushed things and didn't personally try out or verify their mod before publishing it. It happens.

Yes, it says wheat in the edge of field, also it says wheat in harvester, and the texture in all grow stages are like wheat is supposed to be, compared to all other maps I have played.
How to explain it, just the pattern how it grows is like root crop, potato, sugarbeet etc. It is sparse that it is supposed to be. Also the amount of straw is less that it is supposed to be. I try to turn some mods off and see what happens.

Well I tried different seeding equipment, disabled all mods, and result is that wheat and barley grow odd, but oat, soy, canola is OK. This issue is in Midwest Horizon and in Oklahoma 4x. Other maps I have seem to be fine. Can't really think what is wrong.
