The first thing you should _always_ do in case of trouble: view the log file.
That's about all I can suggest.
Well assuming you are on a PC not a console, and assuming you are on Windows 10 then if you don't have a Documents shortcut on the desktop you can either:
1) Click the start menu and select the second of the small icons down the left hand side (the one that looks like a document).
2) Double click the desktop icon with your name and then you'll see the Documents folder in there.
