New map
How do I go along to play a new map? Do I have to delete the current map before doing so because I think I read somewhere that you can have only one map in the game?

Sorry. I have downloaded the new map and it show that it is installed but I cannot find the map to play?

Easiest explaination:
1. Click Career, and in the empty save game slot click to start a new game.
2. Select your game mode you want to play.
3. Select the map you want to play on from those installed.
4. Click start once everything loads.

Happy farming!

Have you moved the maps zip file to your mods directory. Don't un-archive it - unless the map creator specifically states to do so. Just move the complete zip folder into the mods folder.

Many recommend you not have more than one modded map in the mods folder at a time, since they can in rare cases cause conflicts also. But you can keep any saves for other maps, & if you ever want to play on those other maps, just switch them back into the mods folder.

But what I don't understand is that the map that I downloaded was in the FS 19 mods and not from a web page. It shows that the map is installed.

Just to clarify - for Step 3 above, you scroll across the image to select other maps - it should show all installed ones as a series of images/choices.

as for the "no more than one" modded map, this is a general warning to players who are really new to farm sim or using mods. this warning is given because quite a few maps may require other mods or have modded things included. and these things may interfeere with other modded maps as the game engine starts loading things... in a few cases some modded maps items get loaded first during the whole launch the game process, and then another maps items might check for tiem already loaded see it there and skip it... causing issues with that map. thats the basic bare bones explanation why its better to know what the maps have and which ones you can run with little to no issues, its how the game engine loads assets really, and if youre using vanilla maps or maps with out a lot of extra scripts like one with seasons installed with a geo for that maps region. or things added that change basic game mechanics like the animal pens and crop adders.

IF you have issues with a map you want to play on, and have many maps installed to choose from, with a mixed bag of in game mod hub downloads and third party website downloads... then removing some of the older third party maps may fix that. when using mods its too easy to install hundreds and only use a dozen regularly and it can happen that mods cause conflicts with other mods. and its not the easiest of tasks to find the one. so figuring out how mods work in the game and what ones for sure cause issues with others... helps when locating maps to play on if theres any baked in scripts or mods that could cause issues, download anyways and if issues arise...well theres a lot of maps out there to pick from ;)

There is something called Mod Folder Manager that addresses the issue of many mods and many maps.

Listen guys the map that I downloaded and installed is available from the Modhub farms in the game by the name of " The Big Fields Farm " and I don't think I need all the information that "Amanandhisdog" above listed, gave me.

After making your choice betweebn 'New Farmer', 'Farm Manager' and 'Start from scratch' you will be taken to the map selection screen - the first map displayed is 'ravenport' - you scroll the selection to choose another map.
