Many recommend you not have more than one modded map in the mods folder at a time, since they can in rare cases cause conflicts also. But you can keep any saves for other maps, & if you ever want to play on those other maps, just switch them back into the mods folder.
IF you have issues with a map you want to play on, and have many maps installed to choose from, with a mixed bag of in game mod hub downloads and third party website downloads... then removing some of the older third party maps may fix that. when using mods its too easy to install hundreds and only use a dozen regularly and it can happen that mods cause conflicts with other mods. and its not the easiest of tasks to find the one. so figuring out how mods work in the game and what ones for sure cause issues with others... helps when locating maps to play on if theres any baked in scripts or mods that could cause issues, download anyways and if issues arise...well theres a lot of maps out there to pick from ;)
